Novichok (Russian: "new guy") refers to a new generation of chemical weapons that are far more lethal than any other nerve agents ever made. A novichok agent is believed to have been used to poison Sergei and Yulia Skripal in March 2018. As with other Schedule 1 chemical weapons, novichok agents are cholinesterase inhibitors.
